A Simple Welcome
After a year of deep reflection and transformation, I'm honored to invite you back to practice together. This retreat marks a new chapter in my teaching—one grounded in greater humility, clearer boundaries, and a renewed appreciation for the profound gift of simply being alive.
Whether you've been part of our community for years or are joining us for the first time, you're welcome exactly as you are. Come as you are, with whatever you're carrying, and let's explore together what it means to truly come home to life.

A Life-Affirming Approach to Dharma
My understanding of Buddhist practice has evolved to embrace what I now call "life-affirming dharma." Rather than seeking escape from the challenges of being human, we'll explore how to meet life with greater presence, compassion, and yes—even celebration.
This day will honor:
We'll practice meditation not as a way to escape life, but as a way to fall more deeply in love with being here.
This day will honor:
- Your relationships as sacred ground for awakening
- Your emotions and struggles as teachers, not obstacles
- Your capacity for joy and connection as spiritual gifts
- The ordinary moments of life as opportunities for presence
- Community and friendship as essential aspects of the path
We'll practice meditation not as a way to escape life, but as a way to fall more deeply in love with being here.
